When I met Annik & Chris in January it was for the second of a planned three maternity shoots to show the progression of Annik’s long-awaited belly baby (see previously: 21 weeks).We hung out at their house, took some shots of the nursery, just relaxed and captured some images of the happiness, the distinct… dare I call it a glow, that Annik had. It was a mini-session, and as I said, we figured we had one more session to go.

These pictures were taken at 32 weeks. Alexis was born 12 days later.

So have you all gotten your flu shots? I did! And I think I’m glad, because I’m just coming off a week of some crazy wannabe-swine-flu… thing. I’m not saying it was or wasn’t swine flu, I’m just saying that I got the H1N1 and seasonal shots but all my symptoms matched up with swine flu and it was not. pretty. Um, anyway.

Point is, Annik has had to wait longer than usual to get the first sneak peek from her session. The wait is over!

Oh goodness. I tried to think of something to write about this, but my brain is stuck somewhere at “ooooh, pretty.” Every photo I edit is my new favourite photo. Who couldn’t love people this beautiful?! My job is awesome.

the ridgewells | fredericton photographer | hibou photo

I just got back from a whirlwind trip to Cape Breton over the weekend. I don’t recommend it for the winter. The picturesque beauty of the highlands is invisible to eyes focused solely on the road while at the top of Kellys Mountain in a snowstorm with 100 km/hr gusting winds. Yikes.

So I’m glad to be home, and working away at clearing out my backlog before Christmas. I realized that I never blogged the rest of the Ridgewell family photos (long since delivered, the session was in September). After a wild weekend of winter weather I thought it was so lovely to look back on a time when there was green grass…
