Tomi and I have been talking about doing a shoot together since mid-April. And every single time we set a date, it got rained out. Most recently we arranged to meet up last two weeks ago, on a Thursday. The Wednesday before brought crazy, raging thunderstorms, and I was like “phew! dodged a bullet.” Thursday dawned bright and beautiful, we called game on, and I was psyched to do this thing. And we did! And the clouds began to gather. We changed locations and the wind picked up. And just as we finished up, the sky opened up, and I ran home in the pouring rain.

When I suggested the FREX site as a location, I had no idea that there was horse racing planned for the evening, but we ran with it and the shoot quickly went “day at the races.” Tomi models during downtime from her studies, and she rocks at it: blowing through poses and emotions effortlessly, reminding me of someone new every few minutes. You didn’t need me to tell you that she’s a model though, did you? You could tell just by looking at her. The face. The bone structure. The emotions. And the legs. Good grief, the legs. Tomi, you’re a treasure. Mother Nature clearly thinks we can’t handle your fierceness, but here it is anyway. Enjoy :)
