With Earl on the loose Saturday I hunkered down with my computer, so now when you  visit the website you’ll see simplified navigation and some new photos; and the same on the hibou photo Facebook page. I upgraded my editing software to the latest from Adobe, and have been totally geeking out over the new features in Photoshop CS5, not to mention how blazing fast it is compared to my well-loved but worn out CS2. All this makes for a happier photographer, and hopefully clients will reap the rewards of faster editing!

With the work done and Earl’s passing bringing blissfully cooler air on Sunday and Monday – I can finally smell autumn in the air – my partner and I went for a bike ride on the beautiful South Riverfront and Valley trails. Now, I haven’t really ridden a bike since my trusty 18-speed Raleigh was stolen on one particularly tragic moving day back in 2005, so the 10 km we covered on Monday was literally the furthest distance I’ve biked in half a decade. I had a blast.
