waterton lakes national park | waterton, ab

Shortly before leaving for Alberta, my good friend, personal chef, travel partner, and preferred Albertan Paige let me in on the great secret of Waterton Lakes National Park. Tucked in at the very southwestern end of the province, this park is noted for being a UNESCO World Heritage Site, an International Peace Park (together with Glacier National Park), and a Biosphere Reserve – and the only park in the world to be all three. It is also spectacularly beautiful. Most of my day in Waterton was spent doing the International Shoreline Cruise that leaves the Waterton Townsite and travels to Goat Haunt, Montana, and back again. Here are a few pics (including the rare one of a windswept me. You know, for that personal touch.)
