This weekend I, as so many, am off to visit family. Having lived in Nova Scotia the past 8 years, this will be the first time I’ve celebrated Thanksgiving with my family since 2002! I’m looking forward to a home-cooked turkey with all the fixings, relaxing, playing games with friends and family, and the pumpkin whoopie pies the manfriend is going to make.
This Thanksgiving I am celebrating:
- my own health, too often taken for granted.
- that of my family; at 26 I am so lucky that my parents and all of my grandparents continue to be vivacious and engaged
- my friends, one of whom I’m pleased to host for an orphan Thanksgiving (she just moved back to Canada!)
- my manfriend, thanks for whom could easily eat up a post of its own
- my business, which is growing in endlessly pleasing ways. I have a lot to offer in the coming weeks; beyond the wedding shoot and family shoot I have yet to post (soon!), I have four portrait sessions scheduled for next weekend. Four! Bellies and babies and families, oh my! So thank you, Fredericton, for embracing me. I wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving!
